Dinner was an equally impressive occasion, with the menu showcasing the island's rich blend of Creole, Indian, and French influences. The grilled crayfish with lemongrass butter was the standout dish of our stay, accompanied by a well-curated list of South African and French wines.

The resort offers an impressive array of water and land activities, all included in the all-inclusive package. We spent our mornings snorkelling over the reef just metres from shore, marvelling at parrotfish, trumpet fish, and even a small reef shark that glided past without a care in the world. The hotel's catamaran took us on a sunset cruise that is quite simply one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced.
